I never thought the Jay Cutler argument made sense. People may cite his age and upside, but we are supposed to have that option already in Kevin Kolb. Making a play for Cutler would have meant that Kolb isn''t good enough and that''s not a fair assessment to make at this time. Besides, Cutler has shown to be even more sensitive than McNabb, so I don''t see how that would fly around here.

Management just needs to set the table for McNabb to be successful (also known as getting more offensive weapons). I''m interested in seeing what happens at the Draft as those two days will probably be the last significant action we''ll see until the roster cutdowns. My guess is some more O-line depth, a decent backup for Westbrook, and more "fastballs" for Jim Johnson. If we''re going to trade for anyone, draft day is the last realistic chance for it to happen.

Haha...Well they have the kid Forte at RB who looked pretty good as a rookie. Devin Hester is their top receiver, then they have Rashied Davis, Marty Booker, and Brandon Lloyd...It''s ugly. Makes Curtis and Jackson look like Clayton and Duper.

And that, folks, is why I like Scott! I was going to write a whole Mcnabb v Cutler post this morning and then the trade went down and it seemed pointless. The Broncos blew this one though. Cutler is a good quarterback who hasn''t won anything, but he was the future for them at that position. He has shown himself to be a bit sensitive, which McNabb can be as well. The difference is, when McNabb was booed, he became a Pro Bowler. When the Eagles drafted Kolb, McNabb didn''t whine, and when McNabb was benched he played better and took the Eagles to the playoffs. When Cutler got wind of the Broncos possibly bringing in Cassell, he whined and demanded a trade. Bug difference as far as dealing with adversity. My biggest thing with all the comments on the other post is they never answered a specific question. The question: Would you have traded McNabb for Cutler straight up? My answer is hell no for a billion different reasons that I won''t write now that it is a moot point. But, I never actually saw anyone who wanted Cutler make a relevant argument for that question. It was just "he has an upside." So does every player in the NFL. It still doesn;t properly answer the question. Anyways, McNabb is our quarterback and at some point he won''t be and when that day comes, Eagles fans will realize how good we had it. I just hope he wins a ring and there will be nothing left to say. Plus, I could die in peace.

Minnesota still needs a QB. Sorry, I couldn''t resist. Let''s see how well Cutler fares without Brandon Marshall, Eddie Royal, Tony Schefler and Shanahan''s play-calling.

Anyone still want McNabb gone? Chew on these numbers:

-Third best winning percentage (.645) among active QBs behind only Brady and Manning.
-His record when he has a rating over 100: 40-1
-Leads the franchise in career attempts, completions, yards and TDs
-82 regular season wins - 9-6 record in the postseason

Not to mention he puts up with more crap than any other star QB in the NFL. All these clowns who want him gone will be the first ones whining when the Birds are floundering at 3-13 like they were before McNabb arrived.

Good point. Whenever the McNabb rumor mill starts churning, Chicago is one of the first destinations that comes up. With Cutler at the helm, those should die down as well.

Dude...these jackasses don''t know HOW to move on. We are a better football team with McNabb than without him.
